Glue storage and distribution
Considering the normal needs of the corrugated board production process and our experience in this field, we propose what we believe is the best compromise between product flexibility and plant cost.
Plant composition
In view of the above, we describe the composition of the plant:
Three storage silos for three different glue formulas
Three buffers, each corresponding to a different user (high flute, low flute, double backer) for immediate use of the preparation
Ring-type glue distribution system supplying the preparations to the individual users
PLC management system (both automatic and manual) for the unloading, washing, additive dosing and transfer of the different preparations from the silos to the buffers, as well as maintaining the levels in each buffer

The plant layout outlined above is intended to distribute the right preparation to the users (high flute, low flute, double backer) according to the type of board required.
The distribution system with buffers makes it easy to change the glue at the user thanks to the small quantity present in the dedicated buffer.
Indeed, each of them can be filled from any of the storage silos, thus optimizing the type of glue used for the type of board produced, even for short runs.
This makes it possible to improve productivity, reduce production waste, cut consumption of glue product and optimize waste.
